Fantastic work but how did you get the background so black? And how many pens did it use up?

Thanks sir - I used up 3 half used already pens on it and the black was ink using a paintbrush - about two coats - took ages to dry and made a mess on my floorboards.

Well, I'm very impressed by the range of tones you got out of those three half-used already pens...

lots and lots and lots of scribbling back and forth...

These new drawings are SUPERB. Look at the jacket! I think another drawing is needed then you could frame and display in your house.

Who is next on the list? Actually don't tell me I like the surprise. :-)

No - I'd never hang one of mine in my house but thanks for the positive comment - I'm really enjoying doing these - they take about 7 hours all in so its a nice zippy thing to do after the cartoon which take about 40 hours all told.
I'm searching for the next victim all the time - I have a hit list...

I don't think I would ever put any of my paintings up in my house. I almost got one of my Mona Lisa prints framed but that was only because the colours worked well... it didn't happen in the end.

Anyway, love seeing your work, BK. :-)

wahey - I had a great comment last night from Mick Jones' best mate saying I'd cought the essence of the man - excellent because I'm never quite sure about these things - its all in the eye of the beholder and that and after a few hours staring at a picture it can be hard seeing it as anything other than suiggles and lines.
